Waterproof Winter Running shoe designed for training sessions and every day use in the winter in preparation for the spring skyraces. Versatile, lightweight and quick to pull on thanks to the Sock-Shield construction, the perfect choice for running on different types of off-road terrain. The sole is compatible with At Grip Spikes.

The sticky sole offers excellent grip on slippery surfaces and grip on scree or ice thanks to the deep lugs and compatible with AT-Grip Spikes. The Quick-Lace system with lace pockets and the Sock-Shield construction with integrated gaiter embrace the foot and eliminate empty spaces within the shoe. It also prevents stones, mud and snow from entering the boot. The lacing system is integrated with the structure of the uppers: This solution allows for regulation of volumes and keeps the foot in check on traverse routes. The seamless construction and the super flex membrane in waterproof and breathable Gore-Tex make Tempesta the perfect choice for athletes who train during the winter months.

Our Verdict

A light and durable winter running shoe that could be used as a trail running or approach shoe all year. La Sportiva, as you would expect have crated a fantastic blend of hard wearing, yet comfortable shoe that offers incredible grip thanks to the FriXion soul, this provides the boot with the perfect combination of grip, long lasting wear and shock absorption. The 5mm lugs mean the boots has some level of adaptability regardless what the trail has in store for you. With these boots you also have the option to attach La Sportivas AT Grip Spikes providing excellent grip in icy conditions or snowy mountain trails forgoing the need for additional micro spikes.

The Quick lace system provides good protection and means your laces won’t become a tripping hazard and the Gortex membrane means your feet will be dry regardless of what the weather or terrain can throw at you. A fantastic off road running shoe, in any weather, on any trail.
